Purpose of Russian Christian Radio

The purpose of Russian Christian Radio is to reach "Millions of Russians for Christ" through the media of radio, print and internet ministries. "We proclaim him, admonishing and teaching everyone with all wisdom, so that we may present everyone perfect in Christ." (Colossians 1:28-29)

Thousands of Christians in our country (only the Lord knows the exact number of saved souls) found saving faith thanks to the ministry of Earl Poysti. Today, Russian Christian Radio is unable to broadcast locally over the state-run radio stations. However, we are ready to serve our brothers and sisters who desire to tell others of the savior, Jesus Christ. You can find a variety of radio programs in our web archive which will help you in the ministry of evangelism.

Radio Broadcasting and Programs

Russian Christian Radio has been broadcasting the gospel of Jesus Christ in Russian since 1946. As technology and listening habits have changed over time, RCR has also adapted the way we distribute our radio programming. RCR broadcasts can be heard over various outlets in Russia and beyond, including over a power medium wave outlet from Estonia, Tartuu Family Radio (1035 kHz), over local stations in Russia, via satellite over New Life Radio and of course, on the internet here at www.rcr.ru/eng . Russian Christian Radio also partners with Radio MCC in Vladikavkaz, Russia, as together we reach the Northern Caucasus region with the gospel through radio.

Prison Ministry

“I was in prison and you came to visit me” (Matthew 25:36)

During the 1990s, Russian Christian Radio broadcast radio programs over the state-run radio networks, but that opportunity ended later that decade. Many people listened to the various programs and RCR received many letters in response, especially from those who live behind bars. Even though the distribution of radio programs ended over the state network, it has continued in other ways, with a special focus toward providing radio programming to prisons in Russia. This includes distribution of sermons and other programs in MP3 format, as well as via satellite.
